Month, Day 20XX
Greetings!

Here is info on DeafTEC.  DeafTEC is offering 6 regional trainings here in Florida, and will help STEM teachers and other staff learn strategies for students mainstreamed into their classrooms:

DeafTEC: Student Access = Student Success
DeafTEC (http://www.deaftec.org) is a National Science Foundation Project with headquarters at the Rochester Institute of Technology National Technical Institute for the Deaf and the Florida High School Partnership at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.

Full-day workshops are scheduled in six locations across the state. Workshops help STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) teachers learn strategies for students mainstreamed into their classrooms. They also benefit inclusion specialists and others working to ensure students who are deaf/hard of hearing or who have language delays are successful.

Attendees can register to receive a $100 stipend for participating. See attached flyer for additional information. To register, go to http://www.fsdb.k12.fl.us/index.php/outreach/deaftec/. For questions, contact Laura McDonald at 800-356-6731 or email mcdonaldl@fsdb.k12.fl.us.
