Dear Parents!
I hope all of you are doing well! Thank you to all of you dear parents who attended Preschool and K-8 Back-to-School Nights. We are grateful for your attention and feedback. God bless you!
Beginning on Saturday, September, 26 and ending on Saturday, October 3, we will be celebrating Spirit Week. The upcoming week will be exhilarating, fun, and a new venture for us. Historically, the Spirit Week style activities were celebrated during Catholic Schools Week.
A team of teachers and I met last year to develop a fall Spirit Week that parallels the model used in other schools around the country. We envisioned the week to be chock full of activities and daily themes based on certain criteria. I consulted the two "Principal for a Day" winners and they weighed in for day themes too! We worked with the Parish Office to help "kick-off" the week with Oktoberblest, and with the PTSA to celebrate the end of Spirit Week with the Race for Education race and celebration. We are setting a bit of a precedent in that we are celebrating as a parish and school community! What fun it will be!
- Saturday, September 26 - Oktoberblest will usher in the week
- Sunday, September 27 - Donut Sunday
- Monday, September 28 - Miss-match Day
- Tuesday, September 29 - Cowboy & Cowgirl Day
- Wednesday, September 30 - Mass Dress with crazy socks
- Thursday, October 1 - Favorite Sports Team Day
- Friday, October 2 - Race for Education T-shirt with jeans
- Saturday, October 3 - Race for Education (3:00 at East High School)
We are very excited about this year's event and the engagement it will bring to the parish and school. There is nothing more rewarding than to celebrate as a community in concert with the values we share as a Christ-centered community. We are Blessed Sacrament Catholic School!
God Bless you and your beautiful children,
Carla

World Meeting of Families Prayer
|
God and Father of us all, in Jesus, your Son and our Savior, you have made us your sons and daughters in the family of the Church.
May your grace and love help our families in every part of the world be united to one another in fidelity to the gospel.
May the example of the Holy Family, with the aid of your Holy Spirit, guide all families, especially those most troubled, to be homes of communion and prayer and to always seek your truth and live in your love.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us!
