Dear Parents,
We are very excited to be back to school! The energy of the students and staff is positively electrifying, enthusiastic, and effervescing! There is nothing better than seeing the smiling faces of our children on the first day of school. We pray that our Lord and Savior sustains us throughout the school year!
Children, parents, and educators all participate in an unusual cyclical pattern of life. That is, we begin a school year; enjoy the goings on throughout the school year by supporting our children as they question, grow, challenge, and achieve; and we work toward the end of a school year and look toward the date with anticipation knowing that rest and a slower pace is right around the corner. I'd like to characterize this unique and cherished routine by describing them using a familiar analogy...the three R's.
- Refresh - We begin a new school year refreshed from the summer's activities. Each one of us has a different story to tell about what that means to us; the varying activities that we engaged in; and the pace of summer. I'd like to think that summer is analogous to a meandering river flowing lazily along.
- Renew - We come back to school renewed from summer activities, yet we are anxious to begin again by renewing friendships, our thirst for learning, and our joy of teaching and nurturing children. Our energy seems to appear as if we are all participating in the school year for the first time.
- Reunite - we reunite in a common goal: to learn and to educate the whole-child and celebrate each child's uniqueness. I hope you agree with me when I say that our programs and teachers immerse our children in an academic-rich environment; they nourish the mind and spirit in developing a robust sense of self, respect and trust for one another; and they assist our children in developing a personal relationship with Jesus.
Let's begin our journey - together!
God Bless you and your darling children,
Carla
