Dear Parents,

Welcome Back!  I hope you all had a nice and restful break.  Here at Gesher Shalom Hebrew School we are now in the Home Stretch!

It has been a great year so far.  A year of growth.  A year of building community. A year of learning.

Before our graduation ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday, May 29th, there are a number of great programs in which to participate.

Please look to the left for the dates and times.  I do want to highlight our first ever Lag B'Omer Campfire Family program which will take place on Sunday, April 28th at the Tenafly Nature Center at 6 pm.  Lag B'Omer commemorates not only the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer, between Passover and Shavuot, but also a famous Jewish revolt against the Romans.

The custom of lighting bonfires commemorates the dying wish of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai who gave spiritual light through his revelation of the illuminating Jewish text called the Zohar.  Come and enjoy this meaningful evening!
