Greetings!
Hi-Tech will soon post Release 14.06 to our website.

This Hi-Tech Hi-Five describes changes that Release 14.06 will provide to make your job easier. To learn more, after Release 14.06 is installed on your PC, read the Update Memo.

Also this summer, the IMAR Electronic Medication Administration System will be updated to Release 8.5.
Preview the IMAR Release 8.5 changes.

Hi-One: MPPR Medicare C for B Adjustments to be Easier

Release 14.06 will make it easier to make MPPR Adjustments for payers other than Medicare B.

After this Release is installed, select Resident Accounting > Admission Procedures > Edit Medical Record. Choose the resident, select Insurance and the Medicare C provider. In the lower left corner of the insurance provider record, select Medicare C / Advantage Plan and Do MPPR Adjustments.

Do MPPR Adjustments

The following two programs will look at insurance provider records for these selections:
  • End of Month > Therapy Charges > Create Therapy Charges.
  • Interfaces > Resident Accounting > Therapy Charges > Create Charges.

MPPR = Medicare's Multiple Procedure Payment Reductions

Hi-Two: Patient Liability Data Displays Effective/Eligibility Date

Through Resident Accounting > Admission Procedures > Patient Liability Data, you can view the Effective/Eligibility Date recorded in the resident's Medicaid insurance record through Admission Procedures > Edit Medical Record. Choose the resident and Insurance, then choose the Medicaid provider.

Hi-Three: Payroll System Guards Against Duplicate SSNs

While you add and edit records through Payroll > Employee Processing > Employee Maintenance, if you enter a Social Security Number that is already recorded for another employee, the program will display a WARNING that identifies the employee record where that same SSN is already recorded.

Hi-Four: View G-Code History in Rehab Therapy Records
View G-Code History
Through Therapy System > Rehab Therapy > Daily Procedures > Enter Daily Time, select the View G-Code History button to display up to 200 functional G-Code records, starting with the most recent up to an Eval record. The types of codes displayed depends on the user's discipline; for example, PT will see only PT codes.

The program will no longer display G-Code and 10th treatment alerts after you edit a day. Instead, if alert conditions exist, when you select Next Res or Exit, the program will display the G-Code Compliance Report for that resident and the user's discipline. New alert conditions have been added to this report.

Hi-Five: Manager Override Allows Note Inactivation
A user with Manager Override capability can inactivate another user's Notes through the following two programs:
  • Resident Accounting > File Utilities > Inactivate Notes
  • Clinical: Nursing Care or Res Care / Asstd Lvg > Documentation > Notes > Inactivate Notes
A System Administrator can assign Manager Override through Utilities > System Structure > Maintenance. Select the User. On the Edit User ID Records screen, select Manager Override.
