Hi-Two: Hi-Tech Offers a Backup and Recovery System
| |
Hi-Tech Software can help you protect your critical medical record and financial data. Our automatic Backup and Recovery Service will assure that your Hi-Tech data is always available and secure. Your data is protected both onsite and over the Internet. Data is stored in two separate data centers for safety and redundancy.
Hi-Tech handles the setup for you, and we can schedule your backups to happen daily, weekly and monthly to fit your activity level. Each morning our Support staff will review the status of your backups to assure completion. We can send you notifications that your backups have completed successfully, or you can choose to receive a notification only if there is an issue.
There is a one-time setup fee of $250, which includes cleanup of your Hi-Tech Data directory.
A low monthly fee of $35 covers backup services, file restoration assistance and support, and daily monitoring of backup status.

Hi-Four: Hi-Tech to Handle Change in MPPR Adjustments
|
With our next Release, scheduled for May, Resident Accounting will process the change in the Multiple Procedure Payment Reduction (MPPR) adjustment.
Previously, the MPPR adjustment reduced payment by 25% for specific multiple procedures that were performed on the same day. On April 1, that adjustment reduction increased to 50%.
Providers will still be paid the full fee for the first unit of the highest fee and reduce payments for the subsequent lower fees.
If you use our Rehab Therapy System or one of our Rehab Therapy Interfaces, the MPPR is calculated when the therapy transactions are created in the Hi-Tech Resident Accounting System. The Daily Therapy Register will identify both the total fee and the MPPR fee for each therapy.

Hi-Five: Use MDS 3.0 Unresolved Conditions Report to Focus on Specific Issue
|
U se the MDS 3.0 Unresolved Conditions Report as an MDS review tool, as well as a way to focus on ongoing or recurring health conditions that might need additional attention.
The program compares each resident's two most recent, submitted assessments to identify specific responses that are the same on both. The report includes MDS responses that concern Behavior Symptoms, Skin Conditions, Active Diagnoses, Problem Conditions, Weight Loss, and Nutritional Approaches
To print this report select Clinical: Nursing Care > QI / QA / Survey Reports > Quality Assurance > Unresolved Conditions.
Hi-Tech will include this type of MDS reporting with our new EMR System (see Hi One) and allow you to add additional MDS items that you want to track from one assessment to the next.
