Message from the CEO...

The youngsters are in the process of a spiritual journey. We cannot allow them to drift and get lost. We must educate them according to their needs, in a pleasant and kind manner, and lead them to a proper understanding of right and wrong. ~ The Rebbe, Sichot Kodesh 5730, 1:610-611

On Monday night, Federation's Emerging Leadership Project (ELP) participants met at the beautiful home of Suzanne and Stuart Grant followed by our Ben-Gurion Society (BGS) event for young adults. Attendees heard from Bryan Drowos, National Young Leadership Cabinet member and former Delawarean. Special thanks to our gracious hosts as well as Lauren and George Danneman/BGS Chairs, and Kim and Jeff Felzer/ELP Chairs for a meaningful evening of "Inspired Leadership".

I am also pleased to announce the nomination and selection of George Danneman to National Young Leadership Cabinet, the premier leadership and philanthropic program within The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) and throughout the Jewish world. Cabinet is comprised of approximately 300 men and women, ages 30 to 45, from across the United States and Canada who are deeply committed to shaping a bright future for the Jewish people in North America, Israel and around the globe. Yasher koach to George who will represent our Delaware community on a national level.

On Wednesday night, the Siegel JCC held its bi-monthly Candlelight Dinner attracting 90 seniors from our community thanks to the ongoing efforts of Karen Ballard, Senior Center Director at the Siegel JCC. Federation's Israel & Overseas Committee also met to review the various programs and projects we support in our spiritual homeland. Thanks to the leadership of Co-Chairs, Michelle Margules and Lelaine Nemser, we will continue to build living bridges and enhance our ongoing connection to Israel.
