Although the winter weather has dampened school as well as limited travel this week, Jewish Federation of Delaware continues to fulfill our mission of
mobilizing the Jewish community to address issues, meet needs and build an agenda for the future.Earlier this week Federation was named an award recipient in the
2014 AVA Digital Awards, an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding digital communications. We received a Gold Award in the Website/Nonprofit category for our recently re-launched website,
ShalomDelaware.org.
On Tuesday Federation had the pleasure of hosting Elad Strohmayer, Deputy Consul General,
Consulate General of Israel to the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Hillel Zaremba, Director of Community Relations & New Media. It was a productive meeting that will ultimately lead to increasing the Consulate's presence in Delaware through briefings, joint programming and attendance at upcoming community events.
Last night I attended a special
AIPAC reception at the home of Suzanne and Stuart Grant featuring Elliot Chodoff, Middle East Political and Military Analyst. To learn more about AIPAC and the great work they do, please

The community is invited to join our BBYO Liberty Region on Saturday night at 5:45 PM at the Siegel JCC for a special Havdallah service and share in the experience.
On Sunday morning our Emerging Leadership Project (ELP) participants will gather at the home of Bob and Kate Pincus for a session on social and political advocacy along with JCRC Chair, John Elzufon. Federation is investing in tomorrow's leaders today with this successful leadership development program.
Every day in so many ways, Jewish Federation of Delaware is improving the lives of Jews around the corner and around the world. If you are interested in learning more about Federation, please
contact me as I am always happy to share our story with members of our community!
TOGETHER We Do Extraordinary Things.
