Good Morning.
This past Monday, the Agency Executives who serve on the
Safety & Security Committee met to continue the important dialogue of ensuring the safety and security of the Weinberg Jewish Community Campus. Thanks to the collaboration of my colleagues; Ivy Harlev/Siegel JCC, Dory Zatuchni/Jewish Family Services of Delaware and Jeremy Winaker/Albert Einstein Academy. We also extend our appreciation to Jordan Smith/Sodexo who manages our community campus.
On Tuesday evening, our
Community Journey to Israel participants gathered at the home of Lisa Dadone-Weiner & Henry Weiner. There are 25 Delawareans attending our journey beginning November 3rd in our sister city of Arad and will culminate with the Jewish Federations of North America's General Assembly, from November 10th-12th in Jerusalem.
On Wednesday evening, more than 100 women attended the
Jewish Women's Gathering at the Siegel JCC featuring Karen Bergreen: comedian, author and stressed-out Mom.
Kol hakavod to Katie Glazier and the JWG Committee for organizing such a successful program.
Last night, Federation's
Board of Directors met to review and discuss community activites. The Board serves as the governing body responsible for creating and supporting our mission, vision and values. It also ensures Federation maintains a standard of excellence as a trusted and transparent organization. Special thanks to Federation President, Jack Blumenfeld, for his leadership and partnership.
Two of our local beneficiary agencies have upcoming programs that I urge you to attend and support;
