Good Morning.
Welcome to our special edition of J-VOICE. In observance of Sukkot, we are sending our weekly e-news today instead of Friday. Please note that the Federation offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Although this is a short work week, our community has remained quite busy. Federation held its first Executive Committee and Board of Directors meeting last night under the leadership of President, Jack Blumenfeld. We welcomed Lou Feldstein who facilitated, "The Roles & Responsibilities of an Effective Board."
Later this morning, more than 40 community leaders representing our five beneficiary agencies and area synagogues will be joining us for, "The Secret to Strategic Philanthropy", facilitated by Lou Feldstein and presented by Federation. This collaboration is another example that
TOGETHER We Do Extraordinary Things.
Later today I have the distinct pleasure and honor of attending a meeting with Mr. Mort Mandel, a philanthropist and author of the book,
It's All About Who. Our community is privileged to have Mr. Mandel's support of several leadership development initiatives including Federation's Emerging Leadership Project (ELP). He believes that a life without meaning, purpose and commitment isn't a life at all. The essence of great leadership is having the conviction that a single individual has the power to change the world. Thanks to Richard Stat for connecting us to Mr. Mandel and ensuring our strong and vibrant relationship.
Please be reminded of our community concert with
