NEWS & NOTES
Federation's weekly e-news to keep you informed, inspired and connected to Jewish life in Delaware and the Brandywine Valley.

Message from the CEO...

Greetings!,

Good Morning.

It was such a pleasure seeing the hundreds of children participating in Camp JCC this week. The campus was bursting with singing, dancing and swimming all enhanced by the continuous sounds of laughter.

Earlier this week, Federation received a First Place Award in the American Jewish Press Association (AJPA) Rockower Awards recognizing Excellence in Jewish Journalism. Federation landed the award for our 2012-2013 edition of SHALOM Delaware - The Guide to Jewish Life in Delaware and the Brandywine Valley. Congratulations to our team who continue to inspire me.

We also went to press last night on the 2013-2014 edition of SHALOM Delaware and expect to have printed copies mailed after the July 4th holiday. Thank you to the myriad companies, agencies and organizations who advertised this year helping to defray the increasing cost of printing and production.

With the strength of a people and the power of community, we are
Improving Our World...TOGETHER.

Community Journey to Israel
Mission and General Assembly
November 3-13, 2013
Chairs, Lisa Dadone-Weiner and Henry Weiner

Immediately ahead of the 2013 General Assembly in Jerusalem, the Delaware Jewish community will journey to Israel for an amazing mission that will reveal Israel in a new way, forge special connections to the land and people, and provide a deeper understanding of the important work of Federation.

We will then join the GA, where thousands of current and emerging Jewish leaders hear from world-class speakers and learn from each other to shape an even brighter future for Israel and the Jewish people.

Please contact Ellisha Caplan for more information.
