Message from the CEO...

Greetings!,

Good Morning.

Last night, our community came together for Federation's 78th Annual Meeting. We recognized outgoing President, Robin Kauffman Saran, welcomed and installed incoming President, Jack Blumenfeld, and presented several community leadership awards. Congratulations to Bill Wagner who received the Steven J. Rothschild Volunteer of the Year Award and Bob Pincus who received an Endowment Award from the Jewish Federations of North America. We also recognized our Emerging Leadership Project participants and screened our "Year In Review" video that can be viewed here. Special thanks to Craig Sternberg for serving as our Annual Meeting Chair.

The Annual Meeting also provided an opportunity to distribute our 2012-2013 Report to the Community. We have much to be thankful for and the report provides a written reminder of all that we accomplished together this past fiscal year. Thanks to the generosity of Highmark Delaware, the printing of the report was completely underwritten for the third consecutive year, saving critical community dollars. For those unable to attend last night, you can view and download a copy of the report here. Additional copies are also available at Federation - please stop by and pick up a copy!

With the strength of a people and the power of community, we are
Improving Our World...TOGETHER.

Community Journey to Israel
Mission and General Assembly
November 3-13, 2013
Chairs, Lisa Dadone-Weiner and Henry Weiner

Immediately ahead of the 2013 General Assembly in Jerusalem, the Delaware Jewish community will journey to Israel for an amazing mission that will reveal Israel in a new way, forge special connections to the land and people, and provide a deeper understanding of the important work of Federation.

We will then join the GA, where thousands of current and emerging Jewish leaders hear from world-class speakers and learn from each other to shape an even brighter future for Israel and the Jewish people.

A special informational gathering is scheduled on Wednesday, June 19th at 7:00pm in a private home. Please contact Ellisha Caplan for more information.
