WOW! Our Women's Philanthropy Spring Luncheon on Wednesday was certainly an afternoon to remember. Nearly 100 women from our community gathered to hear featured speaker and author, June Hersh, who poignantly reminded us of our people's resiliency and our obligation to never forget our heritage. Her interviews with Holocaust survivors in her book, Recipes Remembered: A Celebration of Survival, gives voice to the remarkable stories and cherished recipes of the Holocaust community. June stressed the importance of giving back - through our involvement, volunteerism and generosity in supporting the work and mission of Federation and making a difference in the world. Special thanks to WOW Event Co-Chairs Lisa Dadone-Weiner and Jodi Berg, Women's Philanthropy Co-Chairs Dorothy Bobman and Barbara Blumberg, WOW Committee members and Federation Development Director Wendy Berger for their assistance and support.
