This past Sunday 46 teens from Wilmington and Newark came together for a
Community Teen Trip to the Panim Institute and the U.S. Holocaust Museum for a day of learning. This trip was underwritten by Federation's Jewish Education Committee co-chaired by Connie Sugarman and Allison Land. Many thanks to our participating synagogues and BBYO chapters for their collaboration and support in making this concept come to fruition.

On Monday, Federation's Young Leadership Division hosted a
Darkness to Light: End Child Sexual Abuse seminar at the Siegel JCC with more than 20 professional attendees. Thanks to YLD Steering Committee Co-Chair, Gina Schoenberg, for her leadership and support in bringing light and education to this important topic. Later that evening our
Allocations Committee, co-chaired by Suzanne Grant and Craig Sternberg, listened to presentations from our agencies. The Committee will continue to meet with our beneficiary and affiliated agencies over the next few weeks in order to evaluate and recommend allocation distributions for the coming fiscal year.

On Wednesday, our
Create A Jewish Legacy held its first CJL Cabinet meeting at Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth.This program assists partner organizations including synagogues and beneficiary agencies with building their respective endowment programs. Thanks to CJL Chair Richard Levine and CJL Manager, Andrea Bock for their commitment to ensuring the future of our Jewish community.

Federation's alliance with the ADL also held a collaborative program on Wednesday evening entitled,
Bullying in the Digital Age: Understanding and Addressing Cyberbullying, at the home of Jen and Greg Fink. Attendees heard from Randi Boyette, ADL's Regional Education Director. Thanks to the Finks, Brian Legum and the ADL's Barbara Shaab. This was the third program in our
Federation/ADL Speaker Series thanks to the vision of Barry Kayne.
Last night, Federation's
Leadership Council gathered to hear updates from Lodge Lane (the Kutz Home's Assisted Living facility), Jewish Education Committee, Emerging Leadership Project and to approve the 2013-2014 Slate of Officers and Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation of Delaware.

This weekend, more than 200 teens from our community as well as from outlying areas including Allentown will be in Wilmington for the
BBYO WOW Convention at the Siegel JCC.Thanks to our local BBYO chapters for hosting this weekend's festivities and those community members who are serving as host families.
