NEWS & NOTES
Federation's weekly e-news to keep you informed, inspired and connected to Jewish life in Delaware and the Brandywine Valley.

Message from the CEO...

Greetings!

This year's SUPER SUNDAY attracted nearly 70 volunteers and raised more than $172,000 for the 2013 Campaign. The dollars raised will help support our local and global community and will make a positive difference in the lives of so many who rely on Federation for support.

Earlier this week we went to press on the February edition of the Jewish VOICE. This is our annual camp guide listing of the wonderful options and choices available to our community. Federation will be continuing our participation in the One Happy Camper program that assists in sending children to first-time Jewish overnight camps. We hope to send as many as 20 children from Delaware this summer. Please expect to see copies in your mail boxes and at our local advertiser's retail locations beginning next week. An online edition can be found by clicking here

This Sunday morning, our Emerging Leadership Project participants will learn about political advocacy with Past Federation President, Bob Pincus, and special guest, U.S. Senator, Christopher Coons. Having access and the support of our state representatives truly makes Delaware unique in many ways. Congressman John Carney's visit with us on SUPER SUNDAY is another testament to this special relationship.

With the strength of a people and the power of community, we are Improving Our World...TOGETHER.

Thank you
for the community's support of SUPER SUNDAY -
One day we came together.
One day we touched the world.

Community volunteers made phone calls to raise the funds so urgently needed to help our Delaware Jewish community survive and thrive. We will also be helping our fellow Jews throughout the world by working with our international partners. As a result , we raised more than $172,000 for the 2013 Campaign!

Thanks to our valued SUPER SUNDAY sponsors and Co-Chairs, Pam Appelbaum and Wendy Shlossman, for their leadership and support in making our annual fundraising event such a success.

If you were not available on Sunday, you can now still pledge your support via your mobile device! Please text "JFD" to 51818 or make a secure online donation through ShalomDelaware.org
