Last Week's Meeting
|
Last week we were able to get together for our first meeting after our Welcome Back Picnic. We got Woody's pizza and discussed the different stories that everyone brought in. We got to hear about the Cherokee Rose, the Cedar Tree, How Red Birds Were Created, The Legend of Devil's Tower, and Kokopelli. Thank you to everyone that came out!

Next Meeting 9/11/13
|
Next week we will be watching a documentary film on the Choctaw Code Talkers. They were crucial to successful communication of important military information between troops during World War I even though they were not U.S. citizens prior to the War. Watch the trailer here. There will be popcorn and drinks!
Please email Madison Eagle, Vice President, if you have any questions.

Line Dancing |

We will be continuing with our line dancing nights this year on the 3rd Wednesday of every month beginning in September. Gerald Morton will continue to be our amazing instructor. Keep checking this newsletter and our Facebook page for up to date information. Make sure to mark your calendars and tell your friends!

Beading Night
|
We are working on organizing a beading night. We usually try to have these a few times a semester but many of you have expressed interest in having them more often. We work on craft projects at these events. These include making necklaces, bracelets, earrings, tobacco pouches, hair pins, shawls, and pretty much anything else you can think of. If you would like to participate in these beading nights with us please fill out this doodle so we know what time works best for everyone. If you have any questions or would like more information please email Diana Saintignon. |
We Want to Know What You Think!
|
We would like to invite people to fill out this quick survey. We want to know what our members and readers of this newsletter think about our organization and services. We want to get feedback so that we know how to better serve our community on campus. Please pass this survey along to anyone you know that has expressed interest in AIC. Thank you so much for your help!
