Yearbook Photo Deadline is NOW!!

If you have any photos you would like to submit to be used in the yearbook you must submit them NOW! The deadline for photos is TODAY! We still need photos from almost all the classrooms, first day of school, all school events: spooghetti feed, concerts, movie night, awards ceremonies, assemblies, etc.

Spring Quarter After School Enrichment Enrollment Begins Tomorrow
Enrollment for the spring quarter After School Enrichment classes will begin tomorrow, Monday, March 28. Classes will begin after Spring Break. The class lineup, descriptions, dates and fees can be found on the  Enrichment page  of the Horace Mann PTSA website.
Science Fair 2016 is here!!

The amazing Horace Mann Science Fair is here!! Come and learn all kinds of science facts. Explore demos presented by local volunteers. This year's demos include lung function, LEGO MINDSTORM, watercolor techniques, 3D printing, puzzles, magnetism, and interesting facts about how little scientists can change the world.

This fair is not just for people interested in science, this event is for everyone who wants to come and spend a fun evening with family. This event is on March 31 from 6 to 8 pm and it's totally free! Food will be available for purchase, it will be taco Tuesday, on a Thursday!!! 

Please volunteer with us. We need help with sign ups, clean up, and making this event a success. Volunteer sign up here.   
Wear Blue for Autism Awareness Day - April 1

April is Autism Awareness Month. People all over the world will be wearing blue on April 2nd to support autism awareness in their communities. Since this falls on a Saturday, we will recognize Autism Awareness day on Friday, April 1. We invite you to have a look at the disability bulletin board to learn a more about Autism, and how to support friends living with Autism in our community. For more information please contact the PTSA Special Needs Liaison.
Solve Math Challenge #12
  1. Get challenge #12 at www.mathinaction.org or the Mann office.
  2. Solve as many problems as you can.
  3. Submit solutions by 3 pm Friday, April 1. 
  4. Check the school announcements to see if you win a prize. See solutions at www.mathinaction.org.
Noetic Learning Math Contest

Priority registration for Horace Mann Students starts now!
Contest Date:  April 13, 5:15pm at Horace Mann
Cost:  $10

Parent Input Forms
 
Staff have begun initial planning for the 2016-17 school year. Parents have an opportunity to share their input on the best educational setting for their child by completing a Parent Input Form. These forms can be picked up in the main office and must be returned by Friday, April 29, for the input to be considered for next year. The due date is firm since planning will start in May.
