Do you want the After School Enrichment program to continue next year?

Do your kids enjoy the after school enrichment classes like Art, Chess and Computer Programming?

To keep this program going we need an After School Enrichment Coordinator. This parent volunteer will assist the VP, Enrichment with planning classes and administering the program.

ANNUAL MANN DANCE RAISES $1000 FOR SPIRIT TEAM FUNDRAISER

The Horace Mann PTSA would like to thank all the parents and students who attended the school dance on Friday, March 20th!  It was a "glowing" good time - and it was so fun to see all the students show off the moves they learned throughout the week at school.  The admission cost, as well as any donations collected at the door, were donated to the Spirit Team's fundraiser for Seattle Children's Hospital!  We would also like to extend the most sincere appreciation for the volunteers (parents, teachers, and students) who helped set up, run concessions, and clean up afterwards.  We had a great time - and hope you did, too!  

SBA Testing Dates

3rd-5th grade parents,

Please mark the following dates on your calendar.  It is essential all 3rd-5th grade students attend these days of school for the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA).  Please make doctor appointments on other days or before or after school.  The SBA has an interesting component to it.  One of the testing days involves a whole class performance task, which will usually mean a class discussion.  If students miss these sessions, it will be extremely difficult to re-create these discussions in a make-up session.  Your help in making sure your child is attending school well-rested, healthy and fed on these days is much appreciated.
