Last Input Opportunity on LWSD Boundary Changes Click here (http://www.lwsd.org/News/Reboundary/Pages/default.aspx) to review the information and provide input.
The district's boundary committee was developing two scenarios for each learning community, based on the community feedback received to date. The committee included neighborhoods that have not moved in previous scenarios for two learning communities (Lake Washington and Redmond). The scenarios have now been posted on the district's website and the comment period has now begun. You will be able to comment on these scenarios through the end of the business day on January 14. To review the information and provide input, click here. Information received during the comment period will help inform the committee's final recommendation. The committee will present its recommendation to the superintendent. The superintendent will make a final recommendation to the School Board at the January 26 School Board Meeting. After review of the two scenarios, we can summarize that Scenario 1 will have approximately 67 students from Abbey Road off of 104th joining Mann from Rockwell. Scenario 2 will have approximately 78 students from the Summerwood development off of Avondale joining Mann from Einstein. The boundary committee is asking the community to rank their preference between the two scenarios. Click here to review the information and provide input. |
