LWSD PTSA Special Needs Group The LWSD Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Special Needs Group is made up of parents in Lake Washington School District whose children receive special services (IEP) and / or classroom support (504), and parents interested in resources and support for any student with learning challenges. The group meets every month except for December and June. Anyone is welcome to attend these informative meetings, which provide opportunities to: - Hear from speakers
- Learn about resources in the community
- Network with other parents
- Keep updated on district and PTSA issues affecting children with special needs

Dec 2014 - no meeting Jan 27, 2015 - Dr. Elizabeth Smith explains Dysgraphia and Executive Function (as it relates to various diagnoses). Feb 24, 2015 -Members from the LWSD Transition Academy present on their community based program for young adults with developmental disabilities. March 24, 2015 - District presentation of its current projects related to Special Needs.
