This Message is from Lia White and Jean Chenevert - we are your 2014/15 PTSA co-presidents. We hope you are enjoying your summer. We are still a couple weeks away from the beginning of school but wanted to make sure everyone knew about the Colt Corral.
On Thursday August 28th from 8am-12pm, we will have the Colt Corral set up in the commons and gym area. You can drop in any time during these hours. When you arrive, greeters will hand you a few important forms to complete and a passport or punch card. It will be important that you bring the following information/items with you to the Corral:
- Your contact information, including address, phone numbers (remember work and cell numbers too) and e-mail addresses
- Contact information for people you will be using as an emergency contact. Note that these people will also be able to pick up your child in case of an emergency. We recommend you have at least 3 emergency contacts
- Any medical information and/or medicine
- Your checkbook and/or debit/credit card (for the PTSA booth and to add money to your child's lunch account)
Once you have completed the forms, you will be asked to turn them in at each designated booth/station. Staff and volunteers will be manning each station so that you can get your questions answered. Once you have visited each mandatory station, you will get your passport punched. Once you have every mandatory station punched on your card, you can turn it in at the final station and be handed your child's class placement for the fall. For security purposes, class lists will not be posted in the window of the school.
On this same day, starting at 11 am (and ending promptly at 12 pm) is our Meet and Greet. If you come right at 11 am and have not completed the stations at the Corral, you will need to visit the Corral in the gym and Commons to pick up the necessary forms and then get your child's class placement. We expect that there will be a rush at the Corral from 10:30-11:30, so please plan on attending the Corral earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. It would also be helpful, if possible, to walk to school as we expect a large number of cars in the lot.
We hope to see everyone there!
Jean & Lia
