Horace Mann International Night & PotLuck 2014

One Family, Many Cultures

Thursday, April 24th, 5:30-7:00 p.m.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the Horace Mann International Night and Pot Luck! Enjoy delicious foods from around the world. Participate in a cultural fashion show. Learn songs and dances from around the world. Come dressed in the traditional clothing of your ancestors or just come as you are and enjoy the evening.

In order to have this special event, we are looking for parent volunteers to help. We need families to bring food, organize and/or run a station that represents your family's culture. For example, you could organize an art activity, a game that people could play, or bring food for the potluck. We are also looking for students and family members who would like to participate in a cultural fashion parade.

If you are interested in helping to showcase your culture or would like to participate in our fashion show, please fill out the attached form and return it to Horace Mann by March 19th. We need your help to make this event successful!

If you have an questions, please contact Lucy Davies, Trish Trotter or Colette Weber.

Staff Appreciation Week

Staff Appreciation Week begins March 24th! It is the Hospitality Committee's biggest (and most fun) even of the year! Would you like to join our mission? Please visit our webpage for more information and to sign-up for one of our daily activities. With your help, Staff Appreciation Week will be OUT OF THIS WORLD!

http://horacemannptsa.org/Page/Hospitality/SAW

*Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is officially recognized the week of May 5th - 9th; however, Horace Mann celebrates our teachers a bit earlier because of state testing. The events listed on the website are planned by the Hospitality Committee. It is up to the SAW classroom volunteers and room parents to coordinate more personalized surprises for their teacher during the week.
