Dear Mann Community:
It was great to see some of you at our recent Volunteer Appreciation event. This year we had the festivities in the morning in hopes it would increase attendance. I know it was difficult still for some of you to attend, but please know how much we appreciate your help at Mann. So many fun activities wouldn't happen without the help of our volunteers. Student learning is also enhanced because of the work of our volunteers. Volunteerism is critical to the success of our school, so THANK YOU!!
In addition to changing our Volunteer Appreciation event, we have moved the PTSA awards to our all school awards assembly on Monday, June 17th ,at 9:30. Students, staff and community members will be honored during this assembly. There will be seating in the back set aside for our parents and other community members. You are welcome to join us for this important time to honor the achievement of many here at Horace Mann Elementary.

Art Night was a success THANKS to YOU! 
We want to thank all of the art docent volunteers, teachers, staff, parents and students for your amazing help with Horace Mann's annual celebration of student art. We couldn't have done it without you!
We would also like to thank our special guests from Redmond High School and the community. A huge Thank You to Zohar S. and the Redmond High School students for sharing their talents, TNT for coming out to Horace Mann Elementary and serving dinner, all the caricature artists, Joselyn W. and the Theatre Club, Stan!!, Adaki N., Sui, and Fatima B. and her fabulous group of volunteers for the additional activity in the library.
Last, but not least, we wish to thank our dedicated Art Night committee that have been working for months and months to pull this wonderful night together. Thank You!

Immunization requirement for students entering 6th grade next year
To the parents of 5th Grade Students:
Remember to return your child's completed Tdap/Varicella form that was sent to you in March.
Washington State law requires that 6th grade students have both a Tdap and a Varicella vaccine to start 6th grade.
To help with a smooth transition to middle school, it is important to turn in the form before school is out this year.
If your child has a summer birthday return his/her completed Tdap/Varicella form to the middle school when the office staff return in August.

Horace Mann Math Challenge
