PTSA Needs Your Help to Help your Kids!

Help us plan for next year by getting involved! Mark your calendar for the last PTSA meeting this year on May 30th at 7pm in the Library. Thank you to all those who have already stepped forward or been identified as candidates willing to volunteer for PTSA next school year!

We still need some more volunteers for the following positions:

·Legislative Chair

·Membership & Outreach Chair

·Health & Safety Chair

(detailed descriptions)

We hope you'll consider nominating yourself and/or a friend. You won't be doing the job alone. We work together and often times there's a counterpart or Co-VP or Co-Chair.

If you're afraid of too many meetings - DON'T BE!

If you're afraid of too much commitment - DON'T BE!

We can make it work for you because we're a team!

Thank you!

District Parent and Community Survey

Tell us what you think

Schools, district use data for improvement

Every year, the district asks parents and community members to take a few minutes and give us feedback about how our schools are doing. District-wide information is reported to the school board. Results are also broken out by school and provided to principals for use in their continuous improvement process. Parents and community members alike are invited to take part.

Survey questions are based on the Nine Characteristics of High-Performing Schools. This framework for school improvement was developed by the Office for the Superintendent of Public Schools based on a review of the research on what makes a high-performing school. Your answers will help us understand how we need to improve our schools and our district to be as high performing as possible.

This year, the survey will be open from April 15 through May 13. Please take a few minutes of your time to help the district and schools improve by clicking this link:

Art is Everywhere -- Save the Date!

Art Night is on Friday June 7 from 6:30-8:30pm--only 4 weeks away! Art Night is a celebration of all the art that the students have created over the year. Much of it will be on display throughout the school during Art Night. There will also be food, entertainment, take-home art projects, a raffle, and a silent auction for donated art! Don't miss out on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
