About 10 years ago I began sending newsletters
to my friends and customers from the Muskegon Farmers Market in Muskegon.
Many people were instrumental in my initial and my continued success.
The support I received allowed me to prosper and grow.
John and I have been, oh so, blessed.

Now the flagship Muskegon store has been sold to our longtime employee,
Shelley Lewis. And there the 6, really there are 6, franchises
or "sisterhoods" as we prefer to call them.

As part of the "sisterhood" I want to start using this old time,
but effective medium, to keep you up to date.
Like I used to . . . . before some sad events,
some losses, made it hard for me to be as open as I had been.
Wearing one's heart on one's sleeve, I think it's called.

So join me, if you want, while I use this newsletter to connect
the 6 Cheese Lady families and talk a little cheese.

We are a family . . . and it is ever changing.

I don't know about you, but as I get older I am more aware of the fragile nature of all of our lives. For all those who are dealing with illness or loss, my heart goes out to you. Big hugs to some very special people.

So the day before the Muskegon Cheese Lady was sold,

ALL The Cheese Lady stores had their holiday party.

We ate and drank and had a cutting & wrapping contest,

a written exam and a team building marshmallow and

spaghetti tower. I cried a little at the major changes I was

making . . . but laughter won out. It is the right decision

at the right time. I am still Mama Cheese. I will be visiting

stores. I will be talking cheese. I will be there!
