In the middle of it all, we were very busy this year.

The Grand Rapids Cheese Lady opened in October 2012.
Heather Zinn and her team worked long and hard to create
a space where people can get The Cheese Lady experience in Grand Rapids.
She is at 315 Fuller right across from Fuller Park.
CONGRATULATIONS TO HEATHER.
A new store and a beautiful new baby in 2012.
Meanwhile, Kalamazoo rocks, Natalie has done an incredible job!
We should all be so organized.  She has her dad, Terry, learning more about cheese than I thought possible, too.  Natalie was married this past August and we are pleased and proud and thankful that everything is going well out at the Texas Corners location.

During the summer
I spent time with Elle and William when I could.
We regularly visited Mr. Hackley, the Monet Garden and the Lakeshore Museum.
We took the trolley, had "coffee" at the CIM and had a tour of the fire house.

And 50 years ago
my brothers, sisters, parents and I moved into the old farmhouse on Fenner Road.  It was a long way from Sherman Manor and so BIG.
And for 50 years the house was HOME.

In August we moved mom out of that home
full of the accumulation that happens over the years. She has a new home and we have a new reality. After a year without dad, we are all getting our feet under us.

We are a family . . . and it is ever changing.

EVOO and Balsamic
Just in case you're afraid
I've forgotten about the store, I've not.

Buy 1 get 1 at Half Price
EVOO and Balsamic Vinegar

for the entire month of January.

New recipes. New health alerts.  All month.

Since our trip to Parma
in May, we have been buying full wheels of  Parmigiano Reggiano and splitting them here at the shop.  We find the flavor is better when the cheese has NEVER been in shrink wrap.

Come in and find out what Parmigiano Reggiano is really supposed to taste like!  Hear the story.

And for the month of January buy it for $5.00 off a pound.
A little real Parmigiano goes a long way to add flavor to anything.
