President's Note
Dear NYSMEAns,
Spring has finally started to, well, spring. Need to get over the winter blues and feel energized? Attend our spring Share-A-Thon, taking place on Sunday morning (9AM - 12PM), April 28th at Mercy College, right along the mighty Hudson. Meet other educators and get a chance to experience some new activities. The event is FREE for NYSMEA members and includes free breakfast --lunch too if you stick around for our meeting following the event! Register here. | | NYSMEAns learning at last year's Share-A-Thon |
Last year's Share-A-Thon was a lot of fun. I, for one, learned about new mapping tools, hydroponic plants, and played a game about careers in marine science. Topics on the slate for this year's event include plate tectonics, teaching the Hudson River, and adopting trout. Register today; we look forward to seeing you there. A certificate of attendance is available for professional development credit. Still interested in presenting? Contact Education Committee Chair Nordica Holochuk. Sincerely, Meg Meghan Marrero, Ed.D.
