President's Note
Dear NYSMEAns,
In the wake of Sandy, I hope that you are all safe and moving forward. As I'm sure you know, NYSMEA is a wonderful community of members always willing to help one another. Please let us know if you need anything at all, whether you have a suggestion for a place to which we can donate items, or could use assistance from a member in your area. NYSMEA members always come through for one another.

NYSMEA has organized two trips to Louisiana in recent years to assist in wetlands restoration, an important part of oil spill and hurricane recovery efforts. Now it's time to give back in our own communities. Have a suggestion for relief and recovery opportunities for NYSMEAns? Want to be notified directly of ways to get involved in NYSMEA's efforts? Please contact Larissa, who will be leading our charge. Finally, while myriad organizations need our help, please consider donating to our partner, the New York Aquarium. Coney Island and the Aquarium itself were devastated by the storm and the road to recovery will be long to keep the animals safe and rebuild the exhibits. To make a donation, click here. All the best, Meg Meghan Marrero, Ed.D. NYSMEA President | |
