Model Practice:  Learning from a Shingo Assessment Example

The Shingo Model has been used extensively as the business model of choice for manufacturers because it provides a proven, successful framework to achieve operational excellence. It also is a useful tool for healthcare leaders in gauging progress on their lean journeys and identifying areas for continued improvement.

The ThedaCare Center For Healthcare Value recently sponsored a two-day Shingo Model and Assessor Training session for 40 Center staff and local community partners. The session allowed participants to practice the assessment process in-person with two local organizations.
