Greetings!

What is Your Action Plan for Transformation?

It's one of the questions we get asked most frequently at the ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value: How can I get started? What should my organization do?

This month, we are providing a chapter from our award-winning book, On the Mend, by John Toussaint, MD, to help you start or review your own lean action plan. The chapter outlines the following nine action steps in detail to keep leaders engaged and walking along the path to transformation.

1. Identify the crisis.

2. Create a lean promotion office.

3. Find change agents.

4. Map your value streams.

5. Engage senior leaders early in strategy deployment.

6. Acquire and disperse knowledge broadly.

7. Teach a man to fish (or, become a mentor).

8. Involve suppliers in lean.

9. Restructure your organization into product families.

Take your action plan to the next level by downloading the full chapter here.
