Greetings!
This summer, ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value is celebrating its five-year anniversary! Thank you for your support and engagement along this journey. We've accomplished a lot since our early days:
- Membership in the Healthcare Value Network has grown from 14 to more than 60 organizations.
- We've added a second peer-to-peer learning network focused on clinical business intelligence.
- We've published two award-winning books.
- Our Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit sets the standard for industry conferences on value-based care.
- Thousands of visitors have participated in our CEO Site Visits or other on-site learning experiences, including leaders from 22 countries.
- Since 2011, we've developed 15 educational experiences, including site visits.
To kick off our next five years, we're increasing our focus on teachable materials and rolling out a new YouTube channel. Enjoy the last month of summer perusing our videos!

The Carolinas Lean Collaborative is a relatively new member to the network and consists of three rurally situated healthcare systems in NC. Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse, WI, is targeting energy independence by 2014 and recently received national notoriety. Details about these two Network organizations can be found here.
Have You Enrolled in CBIN Yet?
The Clinical Business Intelligence Network Cohort #2 is currently open for enrollment. We are seeking eight more leading healthcare organizations to enroll by Aug. 31. Are you one of them? Contact Julie Bartels at [email protected] or (920) 309-2216.
Free Webinar Answers Your CBI Questions
- Do you know how well your organization performed yesterday?
- Are your frontline staff able to access the information they need to make wise decisions--every patient, every time?
- What are the profile characteristics of patients most likely to be readmitted to your hospitals?
- Are there any patients in your hospital today who match this profile?
- If you had this level of information quality and flow, would your organization be stronger and better able to consistently deliver high value care to your patients?
You're not alone in wondering. Join us for a free webinar on Thurs., Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. CST with Clinical Business Intelligence Network (CBIN) members Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Bellin Health to hear about the challenges and benefits of building a CBI program. A CBI strategy will accelerate and improve the impact of your Operational Excellence program. To register, click here. |
