CEO Site Visit to St. Boniface Hospital
Want to experience a site visit for yourself? The Center has partnered with Healthcare Value Network member St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to offer an executive level CEO Site Visit. Attendees will be exposed to the St. Boniface journey and to the many lessons learned along the way from CEO Michel Tétreault.
This day-and-a-half visit includes the opportunity for your team to interact with St. Boniface senior leadership and physicians, as well as the frontline staff to experience how they are learning to see, think, and act differently to deliver better value and improve healthcare.
Space is filling up fast for this visit on May 30-31, 2013. Participation is limited to 16 attendees on a first-come basis and pricing is $1,100 per person.

News Briefs
Patrick Conway Visits Appleton
Patrick Conway, MD, MSc, chief medical officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, visited the Center and ThedaCare in April for a day-and-a-half CEO Site Visit. The visit included a tour of ThedaCare, as well as meetings with key leaders to see firsthand the work being done to achieve better health outcomes at a lower cost. Dr. Conway also learned how the Center is innovatively spreading healthcare change throughout North America.
 "ThedaCare is an example of the stellar results our health system can achieve when a culture of improvement, empowerment to solve problems, customer focus, continuous learning, and removal of waste is embedded throughout the organization, from the frontline staff to the CEO. The ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value is a model for spreading change and teaching other health systems how to improve. By coaching thousands of leaders on how to start or accelerate the transformation of their local health system, the Center is a catalyst for broad scale health system transformation."

CBIN Seeking New Members for Next Enrollment Period
 Clinical business analytics is listed as a top concern for health system leaders in 2013. The need to have access to better information faster and in a form that is easily understood is critical to a health system's ability to understand and improve its performance and compete in today's challenging business environment.
