Consumer Reports for Wisconsin Healthcare

Jump to our blog entry about this announcement in the left-hand sidebar. The report is an important step toward achieving delivery reform, transparency and payment reform. It puts relevant, understandable healthcare data into the hands of consumers and also helps organizations see exactly where they can improve.

The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ), which provided data for the report, is one of our key partners, and ThedaCare and other WCHQ members are great examples of the benefits of focusing on patient value.

The Promise of Lean in Healthcare

Published in the latest Mayo Clinic ProceedingsThe Promise of Lean in Healthcare, by Dr. John Toussaint and Dr. Leonard Berry, discusses what the application of lean principles has meant for the healthcare industry. The article highlights the positive results achieved by: Christie Clinic, Inova, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, Martin Health System, Seattle Children's, St. Jude Medical Center and ThedaCare.

The ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value is transforming the healthcare industry to deliver higher value through experiments, collaboration and education that integrate three interdependent components: delivery, transparency and payment. In these areas, the Center spreads learning and accelerates improvement.
