Try some of the new exciting classes at AquarianYoga:
Hatha Yoga with Lena- Monday and Friday 8 AM Sing Up Now!
This class focuses on developing strength, mobility and awareness through the mindful practice of asana (classical yoga postures) and breath work. Precise and clear instructions of the asanas are aimed toward optimum body alignment and the alignment of body, mind and breath. When the body, mind and breath are harmonized, wellbeing and peace can then be realized. The use of props and adaptive instructions make this class accessible to practitioners of all levels..
Mixed level Vinyasa with Mary Paige- Friday 9:30 AM Sign Up Now!
With a sense of humor and empathy, Mary Paige Snell has an upbeat style of teaching this all level class. Mixing styles from Hatha, Vinyasa, and more esoteric studies, you will find her class uniquely inspiring. Emphasis is on core work, as well as opening up the body and mind to receive breath and freedom. Developing confidence and an artistic spirit is what she hopes for her students- empowering them, through the discipline of yoga, to do more than they thought possible.
Yoga Therapy with Madelana - Begins this Saturday 8 AM Sign Up Now! The classical Indian practitioners classify people in 3 categories: Rogi; Nirogi; and Yogi. Rogis are dealing with illness. Nirogis have the absence of illness. Yogis are enjoying life. In my 20 years of practicing meditation, yoga, and body/energy work modalities, I have come to see that even those of us who do yoga are not necessarily 'yogis' by this definition. The truth is most of us could be getting more out of our yoga practice. And if you don't already have a yoga practice, then for sure you could be getting more out of your life! Yoga as therapy utilizes the powerful aspects of yoga to help bring the body and mind and all the intricate systems into a more harmonious balance so that the body can maximize its own natural ability to move toward greater health. Simple practices (not necessarily 'easy') will be utilized to build internal strength and vigor; to increase suppleness and flexibility; to balance out-of-balance states of body/mind. In time and with persistent practice, you will begin to see improvements in health and ease in living. You were meant to enjoy this life!

Butoh Dance Series
Workshop taught by Lena Ang
Saturday December 3rd,
2:15- 4:15 pm
Butoh is a dance that taps into the primordial in all of us to draw out movement expression

that lay hidden. The typical experience one gains from a Butoh improvisation is that of spontaneous physical release, meditative flow of energy and connection to oneself and the larger surroundings.
In all sessions, the body is first warmed up through a series of breath-coordinated movements. This is followed by meditation and Butoh improvisation.

Full Moon, Fire Ceremony & Healing Gong
with Akalsukh Singh
Full Moon is an extremely auspicious day for spiritual practices. You are naturally accelerated on a full moon. You are at your highest energy level. The secretions in your body will be at their maximum.
The Moon exerts much influence on the psychic activity of humans. In astrology the Moon represents the imaginative and reflective side of a person and is linked to the subconscious mind.
∞ We start with a pranayam and short kriya (breathing exercise and yoga set)
∞ A new meditation will be introduced at this event.
∞ This event will be topped off with a wonderful long Gong Bath!
"Gong Yoga has profound healing abilities. Immediate effects are common, since blood circulation is increased to bring in fresh nutrients, and will continue healing for days after the class. Students participating in multiple gong classes accumulate the most healing benefits. Eat lightly two hours prior to the session."

"The atmosphere was beautiful and friendly . It was very impressive to see so many people attending this event. The energy in the room was serene and peaceful, yet very powerful. Some of the exercises allowed me to face some of my own strengths and weaknesses, at different levels. Attending the event was definitely a very positive step towards my spiritual growth and understanding of Kundalini yoga. Totally enjoyed the event." - A.V. |
"I experienced a powerful release, so gentle and loving that there is no doubt I would want to let go of more! More of what simply does not serve. The group dynamic offers support and opened me to the diverse experiences of the others in the group. When the ceremony was complete there was an unsaid bond, a joyous connection of our highest form of ourselves. The gong was magical as I felt all the cells in my body dancing to the vibration. It is now 3 days after the meditation and ceremony and I continue to carry the bliss and feel the cleanse and rejuvenation." Carissa |
