Cascade Title Seeks Input from Lenders!! Do you like recording fees averaged or actual page count?!?
Mortgage Lenders: Cascade Title has, for several years, averaged recording fees as allowed by RESPA. This simplifies estimates (GFEs) given by lenders before the lender knows whether a Power of Attorney and/or deed will be needed to close their transaction. Convenient? Yes!! But, sometimes, as is the nature of averages, a borrower will pay slightly more than the actual page-count of documents recorded (yes, sometimes slightly less, too). Let us know: do you like the convenience of averaging, or do you want your borrower to pay for the exact number of pages recorded in their transaction? Tell us by clicking here and simply putting "average yes" or "average no" in the subject line. Thanks! |
