Tips from the Pros

Downspout extensions

Rain gutters and downspouts provide a good first step in controlling the water runoff from your roof.

A very important next step is to make sure the water is carried far enough away from your home.  A proven way to accomplish this goal is to connect your downspouts to adapters and buried drainpipe which either "daylight" or run to a pop up emitter.

This goes a long way toward helping to prevent wet basements and erosion damage to your landscape beds.

Installing drainage pipe is a pretty straightforward job that you could handle or give us a call and we can help implement a system for your home.

Before & After

Welcome Home!

The above pictures show the Before & After of a front walkway and entry we had the privilege to complete.

The homeowner wanted to update the look of their original cement walkway and entry stoop.  We removed the existing cement walkway and step, replacing the walkway with EP Henry Coventry I pavers.  With the existing entry stoop in good condition, we built a new wall around the outside of the stoop using EP Henry Imperial wall block and inlaid the field of the entry stoop with the same pavers we used for the front walkway.  Adding EP Henry Devonstone treads to the top of the new wall and using them as the tread for the new step, adds a classic look.

The homeowner has a refreshed and welcoming entry to their beautiful home!

Home Improvement - Protect your basement during storm season!

A water powered emergency sump pump is probably the best choice for a cost-effective, ultra-reliable emergency sump pump.

A water powered sump pump backup is configured to turn on automatically in the event of a primary sump pump failure.  As long as there is adequate municipal water pressure the water powered sump pump will continue to operate.  That means when the electricity goes out, your sump pump will continue to operate, hour after hour, day after day, if necessary.  Whether you are home or away on vacation, you should no longer worry about your sump pump failing.

Two things to remember are that you must have municipal water with enough water pressure and that this will serve as a backup to your primary sump pump.

Talk to your plumber or give us a call or email and we can help you implement this protection.
