Call For Directors at Large - AEF Board
The AEF is searching for candidates for directors at large who support the objectives, goals and activities of the AEF and who would like to be active members of the organization. The AEF is comprised of individual, family, club and business members. The membership is invited to the Annual General Meeting and will elect individuals to fill these vacancies (2) on the board. Members may also place their vote electronically prior to the AGM. For more information and/or to apply please visit the AEF website.

Stride With Us - AEF AGM & Celebration of Members
Members are invited to attend the Alberta Equestrian Federation Society's dynamic AGM on March 12, 2016, 11:00pm - 4:30pm at Horse In Hand Ranch, Blackfalds, AB. The AGM will run from 1:10pm - 2:20pm.
There is no fee for members, however registration is mandatory due to maximum occupancy at the facility.

Course Designer Clinic - March 19 - 20, 2016
 | Save your spot at the Equine Canada Course Designer Clinic at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping, Calgary, AB this March! The clinic will be open to all current AEF members. This course is beneficial to:
- Course Designers needing to update their status or candidates interested in becoming a certified course designer;
- Coaches wanting to learn more about how course designers are challenging competitors;
- Athletes who are interested in learning how and why competitions courses are designed a particular way.

FEI World Equestrian Games - Bromont 2018 Update

Bromont is getting ready to welcome the world to the FEI World Equestrian Games from August 11 - 26, 2018. An event that promises to be larger than life, for the whole family and for all to enjoy. Once again, Bromont will display its legendary hospitality, its country setting and the many charming villages of the Eastern Townships with open arms. All this as part of a long tradition of intentional competitions that followed the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, from equestrianism all the way to skiing and mountain biking.

In Memory of Albert H. Kley
|
Albert H. Kley was a remarkable equestrian who touched the lives of many of our members, and played a key role in the development of the sport within Alberta.
The AEF Board, Staff and Members extends their most sincere condolences to the friends & family of Albert, regarding his recent passing. He will be greatly missed by all.

Become a Trail Supporter!
|
With the help of our valued members and friends, the AEF Trail Supporter fund has received more than $25,000 over the past few years. If you are an avid trail user we encourage you to donate in support of building and improving Alberta's equestrian trails.
Did you know it costs approximately $3,000/per 1 km to build new trails?!
Eligible projects for funding include:
- New trail construction;
- trail upgrade/improvements/rehabilitation;
- Bridge and water crossing construction, upgrades or rehabilitation;
- Signage;
- Trail surveying and tracking;
- Horse camp facilities;
- Trail head modification to accommodate horses and horse trailers.
