Seasons Greetings!

The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) is built on the strong
foundation of our members and volunteers. We are extremely
proud of our equine community and would like to take this opportunity to say thank-you for your amazing support, passion and participation in the Alberta equine community.

The AEF team would also like to wish you a safe and Merry Christmas and trust that you are able to ring in the New Year with your loved ones! We look forward to serving your needs in 2016 and hope you will take the time to join us at our AGM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Horse and Hand Ranch, Blackfalds, AB. More details to follow.

New Beginnings!
Sophie Beaufils, our Competitions Coordinator, will be taking a maternity leave for her new beginning at the end of  December.  She will be sorely missed!

The AEF is pleased to  welcome Lindsay Westren to complement office staff while Sophie is away.  Lindsay brings all her competition  background and knowledge to the position;  we are delighted to have her join our team at the AEF!
Lindsay Westren is a born and raised Calgarian who has been a member of the AEF since she was 10 years old. Lindsay graduated from Mount Royal University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. Lindsay brings with her a background in internal and external communications, advertising, fundraising, event planning and digital marketing from her previous positions in the energy sector, finance sector and through her experience at an up and coming digital marketing agency. Lindsay has been actively involved in the Alberta equestrian scene from a young age, from working at summer camps, to local tack shops, to riding and grooming for local trainers - which is how she paid her way through university. Lindsay has spent most of her years on the show jumping circuit and has recently transitioned into the dressage community. As the new Competitions Coordinator, Lindsay is excited to work in an industry and community that she is so passionate about. The AEF is lucky to have her join our team!

NEW: Free AEF Stable/Facility Listing

The Alberta Equestrian Federation (AEF) is pleased to offer you a free stable/facility listing with no reins attached!

With membership in excess of 18,000 and growing, in addition to having one of the top searched websites for all equine enthusiasts in the province, the main questions we are asked is, "where can my child take lessons, where can we go trail riding, where can I find a breeder, where can I find an equine camp, where can I find boarding, etc."

Recognizing this growing demand, the AEF is preparing to launch our brand new searchable stable/facility directory on the AEF website. There is no cost associated with this complimentary listing; however, there is an option to upgrade your listing and receive additional benefits.

Please find attached the application package to participate in this new complimentary initiative! We hope you will consider adding your stable or facility to this listing, which will be made available in the New Year for all equine enthusiasts to access!

Should you know of others that may also benefit from a listing, please feel free to share this with them.
