AEF 5 Year Strategic Plan
The Alberta Equestrian Federation

The AEF is pleased to report that the AEF Board of Directors has finished and approved a 5-year AEF strategic plan that:

  • Clearly defines the purpose of our organization and establishes realistic goals and objectives consistent with our mission & vision in a defined time frame within our organization's capacity for implementation
  • Communicates our goals and objectives to the AEF's constituents
  • Ensured the most effective use is made up of the AEF's resources by focusing our resources on our key priorities
  • Provides a base from which progress can be measured and established a mechanism for informed change when needed
  • Brings together everyone's best and most reasoned efforts to have important value in building a consensus about where the AEF is going

This was one of our requirements for core funding through ASRPWF.  Thank you to all the Board of Directors for providing input and to the committee for working it all together into the strategic plan.

We welcome feedback from our membership and look forward to sharing our goals with you all.

EC/NCCP NATIONAL COACHING AWARDS
Nominate your Coaches !

 About the Awards

COACHING AWARDS!!!!   If you are aware of a deserving coach, let your coaching administrator at your provincial association know, and do what you can to get the information together for them.  The Coaching Administrator and their selection committee will choose from nominations they receive, and send one final nominee for each category that they can, to EC.   WE KNOW THE GOOD COACHES ARE OUT THERE.  HELP US FIND THEM, REWARD THEM, AND CREATE EXCELLENT EXAMPLES FOR UP AND COMING COACHES.  Note that 'coach' is meant in terms of the new NCCP and should not be confused with 'trainer' or with 'elite athlete'.  The coach should be nominated for great coaching.  They do not have to be competitive, and there are categories for Instructors and para/therapeutic coaches.  They do need to be EC Certified and current at time of award selection.

How to nominate: fill in the form, or send an email or fax with the same information requested on the form, to your PSO coaching manager.  Remember that this is a competition, so you need to say why you think the coach is deserving and meets the criteria.

The Equine Canada/NCCP National Coaching Awards recognize Coaches and Instructors from all disciplines and contexts who exemplify the coaching and teaching practices of the National Coaching Certification Program. Nominees may come from all corners of the country, and are recognized for their contribution to the sport as a teacher and coach, whether their students are active in competitive sport, or are recreational sport participants.

You can nominate coaches and instructors in each who category, who you feel deserves recognition and meets the criteria below. The final recipient list will be determined by Equine Canada based on the numbers of submissions for each category.

Please click on the link to access the nomination form. For questions please contact the Coaching Administrator at [email protected].
