Ride and Drive 1000 Hour Level Achievers!
Ride and Drive
The AEF would like to congratulate Cayley Sparks & Valerie Patterson for reaching the 1000 hour level in the Ride and Drive program!

 ______________________________________________

My name is Cayley Sparks. I am 13 years old and my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my horse, Sir Lancelot. Lance is a black Friesian X; he is 15.2 and 14 years old. I love to jump him and go for trail rides. I have owned him for 2 years.  I live in Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory and love riding outside during our long summer days. We are lucky to have an indoor arena for riding during the winter. It was pretty easy to reach 1000 Ride and Drive hours in two years because I can ride all year long.

_____________________________________________________

My name is Valerie Patterson and I am 59 years young because of my horses.  I live southeast of Medicine Hat, AB.  I have great neighbours who let me ride on their land.  I have been riding since I could walk.  The horse I ride the most now is a PMU Shire Thoroughbred cross gelding named Hitch.  He is twelve years old.  I have been competitive trail riding lately so have had to really increase my riding to get us in shape.  I also show western pleasure while wearing my helmet.  I hope to continue riding for fun and competition.  It took me ten great summers of riding to reach my 1000 hours.

You can join too! This program is open to all ages, visit our website for more info and to register today!
