This office time is open to both laity and clergy.

The schedule for 2016 charge conferences has been set! Just like last year, we will have four regional charge conference meetings. Each church needs to choose which meeting to attend. Reports will be due to the district center no less than two weeks prior to the meeting chosen.
Because of limited space at each location, we will be limiting the number of churches that will be able to attend each date. Please contact Katie Swisher at the district center by email or telephone as soon as possible to reserve your church's chosen date and location.  There will be a welcoming and celebration ofassignment service in honor of our newly appointed bishop, Julius C. Trimble, and his wife, First Lady Racelder Grandberry-Trimble. The service will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana, Sunday, September 11 at 4 p.m.

OPEN HOUSE at former Grace UMC in Terre Haute

 Members of the Terre Haute area United Methodist churches and their guests are invited to an OPEN HOUSE at the former Grace United Methodist Church at 7th and Locust Streets in Terre Haute, on Sunday, September 18, at 2:00 pm. The former Grace Church and others merged into the Northside Community Methodist Church in 1999, and the building was acquired by the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Indiana State University, which has converted it into an education center. It contains, among other things, a library on religion and spirituality, a chapel using repurposed furnishings and altar pieces from the Grace Church and from St. Meinrad Archabbey, as well as a garden of meditation and memory which includes limestone pieces from Fourth Avenue and Grace Methodist Churches, preserved in perpetuity adjacent to a fountain and flame. The open house will begin with a brief program at 2:00 pm and will include light refreshments and guided tours. Rev. Dr. Clark Cowden from the Northside Community Methodist Church and the Emmanuel Methodist Church will be part of the program. Please come and see this beautiful renovation and restoration, so respectful of the traditions of the local United Methodist Churches and their Evangelical United Brethren predecessors.

 Our Bishop, Leadership Development and Chairs of the Indiana Conference Clergy Orders call for a gathering of all clergy and clergy candidates (certified candidates, deacons, elders, local pastors, retirees and seminarians) to cultivate our clergy covenant.
All clergy, active and retired, including Elders, Deacons, Local Pastors, Certified Candidates, Seminarians and clergy serving in various Extension Ministries need to attend this important gathering. While this is not a "mandatory" event, all clergy are strongly encouraged to attend.
