EVENTS

Free Continuing Education Sessions
The Crossroads Cluster is putting on a FREE Continuing Education Offering for Clergy and friends in the West District.

The Sessions are from "Lost Christianities: Christian Scriptures and the Battle over Authentication"

The individual themes are:
1. The Acts of John;
2. The Acts of Thomas;
3. The Acts of Paul and Thecla;
4. Forgeries in the name of Paul;
5. The Epistle of Barnabas
6. The Apocalypse of Peter.

These sessions will be Video (20-25 minutes), and discussion (remainder of time) on October 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18, and 25 (Wednesdays), from 1:15p - 2:15p.
Have lunch before you arrive, or bring your lunch with you, to Memorial UMC at 2701 Poplar Street; Terre Haute, IN 47803. Park in the Oak Street lot, just 1 block south of Poplar Street. We'll convene in the Large Conference Room near the office.

All are welcomed to attend, and will receive Continuing Education credit, as required.
ERT Basic Training
November 14, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Linton First UMC
The purpose of Early Response Training is to prepare people to provide a caring Christian presence in the aftermath of a disaster.  ERT's are Volunteers in Mission who have been trained by UMCOR trainers and are required to deploy as part of an ERT at least once during their three year, UMCOR-certified period to qualify for recertification.

Registration Deadline:  Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:59 pm.

The Bishop's Student Leadership Academy is a weekend retreat for high school youth (grades 9-12) to explore what they are passionate about, what problems in the world get them fired up, what gifts and tools God has given them, and what amazing ideas they have now for sharing Christ's love.
