Emergency Response Help Needed

Mike Irvine received a request from the Indiana Conference Disaster Relief Coordinator to respond to a flooding disaster in the Detroit, Michigan area.  People who are ERT Certified are needed to help muck out 350 to 400 homes at the present time.  He has been asked to put together a Team of ERT personnel and respond if possible to assist in the mucking out process.  We have a window of 2 to 3 weeks to make preparations to deploy.  There is much planning and coordination involved in this effort, therefore a quick response to Mike is critical because he needs to reply as soon as possible to our Conference Coordinator so our Team can be scheduled.  We will also need to make our own necessary preparations and plans insuring we have all the gear and personal protection equipment needed to safely work and live.  Interested ERT Certified persons that are able to deploy need to contact Mike as soon as possible.  He can be reached by email at mike.irvine@inumc.org, by calling Carlisle FUMC at 812-398-2686, or his cell phone at 812-554-0337.   Thank you!
