A giant CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who supported the Friendship Service Center in the 31st Annual Walk Against Hunger, held in Bushnell Park in Hartford on Sunday, May 4th.  Together we raised an "amazing" $22,943 that will help the Friendship Center to end hunger every day for our neighbors in need.  We simply could not do all that we do without your participation in this important annual event.

There are a dozen "happy campers" at the Friendship Service Center now that summer is officially here.  The Friends of the Friendship Service Center, the agency's auxiliary, made sure of that by providing annual memberships to the New Britain Boys and Girls Club for children whose parents are receiving services from the Friendship Service Center.  Membership allows enrollment in the Boys and Girls Club summer camp, which offers recreation, educational and social activities for the kids. 
    The Friends of the Friendship Center play an important role by providing opportunities for program participants and help with non-budget items that make the Friendship Center experience feel more like home.   Thank you, dear Friends!
