THE MAY BLOW-BY-BLOW
Greetings!
The spring rush is on! Congratulations everyone, we've made it through another long winter!
This month's newsletter focuses mainly on hot new products that recently caught our attention that we thought we'd share with you.
A piece of news for our fine customers in British Columbia; as the new HST tax laws come into effect on July 1, all BC shoppers will begin paying 12% sales tax from retailers outside BC. In other words, if you've been planning to buy something from us, you can save 7% tax by placing the order before the deadline!
As always, US customers pay no tax, and customers in QC, AB, SK, MB, PE and the territories pay only GST.
Now without further ado.. the May Issue: |

Building a new block-and-tackle system?
Planning out a new mainsheet system, preventer, or furling line or anything else using rope? Customers often wonder what size of line they should use, what theoretical loads the system places on their blocks, and what size sheaves they should employ.
It sounds complicated, but armed with the right equation, you don't need to be a mathematician! Check out our Cordage & Rope page for our handy "Proper Loading of Rope" guide. |
