Greetings!

Greetings to all and Happy Holidays!  In this issue, we are sharing ways for you to "weave Reiki" into your holiday season...

Reiki and the Holidays

My husband and I have had a beautifully hectic Thanksgiving week with our grown children coming to visit and hosting turkey dinner for 38 family members.   It has been a week of cooking and more cooking, sharing meals, conversation, and laughter. Reiki has been with me throughout this busy week--keeping me calm, focused, and centered. And the festivities will continue!

Holidays can be stressful with an overabundance of activities, shopping, eating, and parties. Holidays can also be very emotional---bringing forward old hurts, disappointments, grief, and loneliness. During this holiday season, remember to take time to connect to Reiki. This gentle healing energy can offer serenity and balance on every level-- physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Please read on....several TRSP Reiki Master Teachers share some of their suggestions for bringing Reiki into your holiday season.

From Mary Lynn Carver

Reiki helps me to stay focused & centered during the holidays. Here are some of the ways I use Reiki for myself and my family/friends...

      1) Before I write my holiday cards, I bless the stack of cards with Reiki, asking that those who receive our greetings be peaceful, joy-filled, and blessed for the season and the coming year.

     2) When we do our holiday baking, we gather all the ingredients and ask that Reiki blessings be given to everyone who shares our goodies. Then we bless them as we put them in the oven and again when we make the cookie trays or boxes we share with others.

     3) Every day, I take 5 minutes to sit in front of the Christmas tree and give Reiki to myself while also being grateful for each of the ornaments we have had handed down, gifted or created over the years.

     4) We purchase gifts for the giving tree or angel tree programs at our church.  I bless each gift with Reiki so the recipients will feel the genuine concern and care we are sending with their gifts.

From Ellani Maurides

I use Reiki in many ways during the holidays for both myself and others...

 1) I send Reiki to those who do not have friends or family with whom to share holidays and to those who are less fortunate than I am.

      2) I send distant Reiki to those who have lost loved ones near the holidays --this is often a very difficult time for them.

     3) I offer Reiki to myself when I am feeling sad or disappointed that I am unable to spend the holidays with loved ones or when holiday plans do not happen as anticipated.

     4) I always turn to Reiki for personal relaxation and stress reduction during this busy time.

Thank you for reading Reiki Inspirations.  We wish you all a peace-filled, Reiki-filled December!

One of my favorite uses for the healing energy of Reiki is to create sacred space. There are many ways that this can be done and here are a few suggestions for you. Especially now, when we all have family and loved ones gathering together, it is a beautiful way to use the gift of Reiki!
