Greetings!

If you are out and about exploring the New Forest over the next week be sure to look around you in case there is a gold bauble hanging overhead.

To celebrate the Christmas Fair on 8 and 9 December at New Park near Brockenhurst, six golden baubles have been hidden in the New Forest and there is a week to find them all. Each bauble is linked to a Forest related prize.

The Fair has over 70 stalls selling New Forest Marque food and craft and you can also buy your Christmas tree from the Forestry Commission.

However, it is not all Christmas cheer; there was a disappointing increase in animal accidents during the beginning of November. Find out more about how we can drive more safely at night.

If you are interested in becoming a wildlife champion or volunteer, read on to find out how you can get involved.

Merry Christmas
