Greetings!

The clocks have gone back, the temperature has dropped and we've had to dig out our gloves, hats and coats - winter is on its way.

Now the evenings are drawing in, read about top tips for driving safely in the dark and what to do if you witness an animal accident on the Forest.

If you would like to be a part of the National Park Authority and help guide its work, find out more about how to become a Secretary of State member.

Our tree service has expanded and the Authority now covers the New Forest district as well. Also, don't forget to visit the Ancient Tree Hunt exhibition at the New Forest Centre - some of the trees in the New Forest are reputed to be over 1,000 years old.

Finally, it isn't long until Christmas. Anyone working on their Christmas lists will be pleased to know there will be a Christmas Fair at New Park, Brockenhurst in December.

Best wishes,

The New Forest National Park Authority team
