DES Dads, please come to our All Pro Dad Breakfast this month.
Friday, March 18 - 6:45 to 7:45am.
Please arrive for breakfast in the cafeteria (6:45 - 7:15am)
Program will begin in the media center at 7:20.
This month's topic is "Being Brave"
All Pro Dad Dad's Day is a simple idea with a profound impact. It's a one-hour monthly breakfast held before school where fathers and their children meet with other dads and kids in the school cafeteria. During this time, we will discuss a wide range of family topics, spend time together, create fun memories, and leave equipped with resources to strengthen your relationship with your child.
The program is fun and free! All you need to do is attend, and if you want to purchase breakfast, you may do so in the cafeteria by using your child's myschoolbucks account, cash or check ($1.65 adults, $1.20 children). If you do not have a myschoolbucks account, please register for one at MySchoolBucks.com before the meeting.
To help with keeping the parking lot and carpool drop off running smoothly, please park at GA Perimeter College and walk over to school.
Please visit our chapter website for dates and more information.

Action Ministries
Feed the Hungry Foundation
Dunwoody Elementary will team up with Action Ministries - Feed the Hungry Foundation in an effort to feed children in a nearby county that have been identified as not having enough to eat. Without our help, these children would only receive one meal a day - the meal that they receive from their school lunchroom cafeteria.
Our school can help by collecting food items that make up a healthy part of their diet. In order to avoid adding to obesity, Action Ministries has teamed up with a hospital dietician, and have requested only certain items to be collected:
* Individual Cereal Packets
* Fruit cups
* Cup O Soup (instant soup mixes)
* Libby's Sweet Corn or other veggie envelopes
* Ramen Noodles
* Instant mac-n-cheese packs
* Campbell's Chicken Soup
* Instant Oatmeal envelopes

Selected students will receive a backpack with these items pre-bagged.
We are not required to bag or sort -
Just Collect.....
Thanks, Lynn Johnston

School Store Volunteers Needed
The School Store has volunteer slots open in March, April, and May and we need you! Please consider signing up for just one of these shifts.
The children LOVE it and we hate to turn them away if we don't have the volunteers to staff it. It's also a great way to get in your volunteer hours before the work days starts!
The school store is open from 7:10 - 7:40am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the cafeteria.
If you have any questions about the day or time, or what to do if you're new, please do not hesitate to ask!
Thank you,
Dana Coulter
