From the PTO Co-Presidents
Thanks again to all the families who contributed to the Tiger Fund. The DES PTO is a 501c3 non-profit organization so your donation is tax deductible. You should have received a letter in your oldest child's TIP folder that you may use for your taxes. If you did not receive the letter and need it for tax purposes please contact Whitney Samuelson at wmsamuelson@yahoo.com.
Thank you to all the families that came out on Tuesday to support DES at Jason's Deli. We had a great crowd and a lot of fun seeing everyone.
We kick the month of March off with a week long celebration of Dr. Seuss. On Friday, March 4, your children can dress up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character or other favorite book character and participate in our school wide character parade. Encourage your child's creativity and get those costumes ready for a great day of learning and fun.
Have a wonderful week.

4th Grade Band Needs Pitchers
We are performing a song from the heart of Louisiana bayou country which is titled "Dancin' on the Bayou." It is a fun piece that has some unusual percussion instruments like washboards and pitched jugs.
We have washboards but are in need of 2 large pitchers as pictured here. They don't need to be in great shape but do need to hold water so that we can match the pitch required for the music.
